A 16-year-old DeSoto County teen was arrested after being accused of shooting a victim with metal BB gun pellets.
According to the DeSoto County Sheriff’s Office Omar Villa-Suarez is accused of injuring someone after shooting them with a BB gun.
The sheriff’s office said the person had multiple injuries.
Deputies say Villa-Suarez fled the scene in a white 2007 Ford Expedition. They followed the SUV along SR-31 and initiated a traffic stop.
DCSO said Villa-Suarez drove through multiple stop signs.
He was detained, but deputies did not find the BB gun that was used.
Villa-Suarez was arrested and charged with aggravated battery with a deadly weapon, fleeing to elude, resisting without violence, and having no driver’s license (never having one issued).
Two criminal citations were issued for fleeing to elude and having no driver’s license.
