2 pedestrians die in crash while crossing a Greenacres road

Two people are dead after walking in front of a truck at a Greenacres intersection on Tuesday evening.

The names of the two individuals, who live in Greenacres, have not been released at this time, pending notification of their families.

According to the Palm Beach County Sheriff’s Office report, the pair were crossing Forest Hill Boulevard, at the Olive Tree intersection, around 7:20 p.m. when they were struck.

The westbound pickup had a green light and the right of way, the report noted.

One of the pedestrians, an 82-year-old woman, was pronounced dead at the scene; while the other person, an 80-year-old man, was rushed to Delray Medical Center where he later died.
