A woman and a 3-year-old child were involved in a crash that killed a motorcyclist on Friday afternoon, according to the Florida Highway Patrol.
Officials said around 4:42 p.m., a 25-year-old Bradenton woman and a toddler were traveling west on State Road 70 in an SUV, approaching 52nd Avenue Terrace West.
At the same time, a 59-year-old Bradenton man on a motorcycle was heading east of SR-70 approaching the same intersection, according to troopers.
The SUV driver took a left turn, entering the path of the motorcyclist, who collided with the woman’s vehicle.
FHP said the motorcyclist was pronounced dead on the scene.
The crash is still under investigation.
