High-speed chase of stolen truck ends in multi-vehicle crash in Pensacola

Troopers were involved in a high-speed pursuit of a stolen truck that led to a multi-vehicle crash near Pace Bouleard and Palafox Street on Sunday morning, according to FHP.

Troopers say the suspects fled the scene on foot, but one was captured and taken into custody. The captured suspect was seen being loaded into an ambulance for treatment.

An 83-year-old was a witness at the scene and described what he saw.

“I saw in the rearview mirror this pickup truck coming very fast and next thing you know he was in the intersection and hitting several other vehicles,” Pensacola resident Scott Harrington said. “I got a residual blow on the front of my car, I think if I had been any closer to the front, I probably would have totaled out my car.”

The suspect was caught and loaded into an ambulance for treatment.
