One man is dead after a dispute in a northeast Miami-Dade business led to gunfire.
It happened Wednesday around 3:30 p.m. inside a nail salon where Ives Dairy Road meets N.E. 2nd Avenue.
“Possibly two subjects dressed in dark clothing, entered the business, approached the victim, shot the victim, and then fled,” said Miami-Dade police Officer Alvaro Zabaleta.
Those subjects are still at large.
“We feel like we’re not safe,” said a woman who shops in the building where the shooting happened.
Police said the man who died was a client at the business that does nails, lashes, and personal services
“It’s a more cosmetic type of thing, a business that does multiservice and that’s why there were people inside and that’s what makes it a more volatile dangerous situation, because of the fact that you’re in confined space,” said Zabaleta.
He said after the shooting the subjects fled in a white vehicle, possibly a Mercedes, at a high speed.
Anyone with information that can help the police is urged to call Crime Stoppers at (305) 471-TIPS (8477).
