Miami-Dade homicide detectives were investigating a fatal shooting on Sunday in Homestead.
The investigation was outside Roby George Park’s softball field at Southwest 11 Avenue and Fourth Street. The Brothers Supermarket, a small store, and The Overseas Elks Lodge, a private social club, are also in the area.
According to Detective Angel Rodriguez, a spokesman for the Miami-Dade Police Department, the victim was a man who suffered gunshot wounds.
Homestead Police Department officers responded to a ShotSpotter alert shortly before 2:25 a.m. and found the man bleeding. Miami-Dade Fire Rescue personnel responded and declared the man dead.
