Mother killed, daughters hospitalized after crash with semi-truck in Pasco County

A 38-year-old mother was killed and her three teenage daughters were hospitalized after crashing with a semi-truck on State Route 52 in Pasco County, Florida Highway Patrol said in a news release.

The crash reportedly happened Tuesday around 5:24 p.m. The mother reportedly tried to turn left under a flashing yellow turn signal at the intersection of Prospect Road and ended up in the path of the truck, driven by a 41-year-old man from Port Richey, according to FHP.

The mother died from her injuries at the hospital, according to the agency. Her three daughters are reportedly being treated for serious injuries, as well as the truck driver.
