Multiple people hospitalized after high levels of carbon monoxide detected inside Margate home.

Multiple people were taken to a hospital early Thursday morning after Margate police say there were higher than normal levels of carbon monoxide inside a home.

Police and fire rescue crews responded to the home in the 4900 block of Southwest Fifth Court between 3 and 4 a.m. after receiving a call about an adult who was feeling dizzy.

Police confirmed that multiple people inside the home were transported to a hospital as a precaution.

A Local 10 News crew was at the scene around 6 a.m. as police had placed caution tape around the blue home.

Local 10 received reports that the family had a generator running inside the house, which may have been the cause of the high carbon monoxide levels.

No other details were immediately released.
