ORDER ON PLAINTIFF’S MOTION FOR EXTENSION OFTIME TO RESPOND TO PROPOSAL FOR SETTLEMENT
THIS CAUSE having come before the Court on May 8, 2015, on the Plaintiff’s Motion for Extension of Time to Respond to Proposal for Settlement, bearing certificate of service date July 18, 2014, and the Court having heard argument of counsel, reviewed the file, and been advised in the premises, the Court reasons that the purpose of Fla. R. Civ. P. 1.442 is to move the litigation process forward, and to allow either side to approach the question of settlement at the point deemed appropriate. Extending the legally defined deadline for the response to a Proposal for Settlement would weaken the intent of that rule. Therefore, it is hereby:
