One person is dead and three others are in the hospital after being shot in Royal Palm Beach on Tuesday.
According to the Palm Beach County Sheriff’s Office, just before 5 p.m., deputies responded to a shooting on Coconut Boulevard in Royal Palm Beach. After further investigation, detectives determined that a total of four people were shot — two males and two females.
PBSO said one male victim was found inside the residence where the shooting occurred. Two additional victims, a male and a female, attempted to flee the scene in a vehicle but crashed a short distance away. A fourth victim, a female, ran from the scene on foot along Coconut Boulevard and was initially assisted by a nearby resident.
All four victims were taken to a local hospital for treatment. The sheriff’s office said one of the male victims has since died from his injuries. Another male victim and a female victim remain in serious condition, while the fourth victim, a female, is listed in stable condition.
The suspect, identified as F, has been booked into the Palm Beach County Jail. He faces one count of first-degree murder and three counts of attempted first-degree murder.
F is scheduled to appear for First Appearance on Wednesday morning.
PBSO said investigators learned all four victims knew the suspect, who is now detained.
PBSO said there is no immediate threat to the public.
The investigation remains active and ongoing.
