One person is dead after a car crashed into a canal in Glades County on Tuesday.
According to the Florida Highway Patrol, a car was traveling north on State Road 78, approaching an overpass on Indian Prairie Canal.
FHP said the car veered off the road to the right and crashed into a water-filled canal, where the car became submerged.
FHP said the crash occurred on Tuesday, but troopers were notified about the submerged car on Wednesday.
FHP said the crash remains under investigation.
