1 dead after motorcycle crash in Cape Coral Monday night

One person died at the scene of a motorcycle crash in Cape Coral on Monday night.

According to the Cape Coral Police Department, officers responded to the scene of a major crash on Del Prado Boulevard between Pine Island Road and Northeast 10th Terrace at around 6:50 p.m.

The CCPD said the crash involved a motorcyclist and confirmed the crash was deadly.

The CCPD said that the crash is not alcohol- or drug-related, but that speed was a factor in the crash.

The crash is under further investigation.
