1 dead after multi-vehicle crash on I-4

The Florida Highway Patrol said one person was killed in a major crash on I-4 early Saturday morning.

At around 2 a.m., a motorcycle was traveling eastbound on I-4 at a high speed, operated by a 38-year-old Orlando man.

The motorcycle overturned and collided with the back of an Audi Q7, driven by a 67-year-old Seminole man. The motorcyclist died of his injuries at the scene.

The driver and passengers in the Audi were uninjured.

FHP said the crash happened west of US-301 near mile marker 7. All eastbound lanes were closed for a few hours but have since reopened.
