One person died and another person sustained life-threatening injuries after an ATV crash Wednesday afternoon in Citrus County, according to the Florida Highway Patrol.
The crash happened at about 1 p.m. on North Pine Drive, troopers said.
The ATV was headed south on North Pine Drive when it swerved to avoid hitting a motor bike traveling north, troopers said. The ATV driver and passenger were both ejected when the ATV went off the side of the road.
Both the driver and passenger were then hit by the motor bike, FHP said.
The ATV passenger, a 38-year-old Belleview woman, died and the driver, a 35-year-old Belleview man, suffered life-threatening injuries, according to troopers. The 16-year-old driver of the motor bike was uninjured.
