1 dead in construction accident at a mine off State Road 82 in Lee County

The Lee County Sheriff’s Office said a female died in a construction accident at Bell Mine off of State Road 82 on Monday.

According to the sheriff’s office, her body was recovered.

The Mine Safety and Health Administration is also at the scene conducting a parallel investigation, deputies said.

The investigation is still ongoing.
