First responders are at the scene of an incident in Western Palm Beach County on Wednesday afternoon.
The Palm Beach County Fire Rescue said that at 2:25 p.m., it and Palm Beach Gardens Fire Rescue responded to the area of Beeline Highway and Northlake Boulevard because of an incident with a train.
When they arrived, they discovered a severely damaged and overturned dump truck. An Amtrak passenger train was stopped in the immediate area.
One person was pronounced dead at the scene by Palm Beach County Fire Rescue paramedics.
A spokesperson with the West Palm Beach Police Department said the driver of the dump truck died.
Fire rescue said another person is injured, and the extent of their injuries is being evaluated.
The police department added that their officers determined that the truck cross paths with the passenger train heading northbound.
No one on the train reported injuries.
