1 dead, several injured, man arrested after multi-vehicle crash in Pasco County

Troopers arrested a man Saturday evening after a multi-vehicle crash left one person dead and several others injured.

According to the Florida Highway Patrol, the crash occurred at 7:20 p.m. on Chancey Road.

Troopers said a Toyota Tacoma traveling westbound attempted to pass a Chevy Silverado in a no-pass zone. Once in the eastbound lane, the Toyota collided nearly head-on with a Subaru Outback.

Upon impact, the Toyota spun before eventually stopping in the eastbound lane. The Subaru spun into the westbound lane and collided with the Silverado, as well as a Harley Davidson motorcycle that was traveling behind the Chevy.

A Honda motorcycle traveling behind the Harley Davidson avoided the collisions, but the driver lost control and the vehicle overturned in the eastbound lane.

The driver of the Harley Davidson was taken to the hospital, where he later died due to his injuries.

The driver of the Toyota, identified as Mynor Adolfo Milian-Morales, 29, had minor injuries.

According to FHP, Milian-Morales is a Guatemalan national and is residing in the U.S. undocumented. He also did not have a driver’s license and was impaired with a BAC of 0.106.

Milian-Morales was arrested for DUI manslaughter, driving with no license resulting in a death, as well as several other DUI injury and property damage charges.

Troopers said the driver of the Subaru had serious injuries, while the passenger was not injured. The other drivers involved in the crash had minor injuries.
