A home caught fire Wednesday morning in Miami’s Shenandoah neighborhood, sending heavy smoke into the air as firefighters worked to bring it under control.
The fire happened near the 1300 block of Southwest 10th Street, just west of Brickell, according to Miami Fire Rescue officials.
Sky 10 flew over the scene and captured firefighters battling flames and thick smoke coming from the structure around 10:15 a.m.
Lt. Pete Sanchez, a MFR spokesperson, said operations were underway at the “vacant structure.”
A spokesperson with the Miami Police Department told Local 10 News on Wednesday afternoon that one person was detained in connection with the house fire.
Sanchez said no injuries have been reported at this time.
No other details about the fire or culprit were immediately released.
