1 injured in robbery turned shooting as police search for suspect in Fort Myers

Police are searching for at least one person after a shooting that stemmed from a robbery in Fort Myers sent one to the hospital.

The incident happened along Franklin Street and Henderson Avenue, south of Edison Ave.

FMPD says one person was injured in the shooting and taken to the hospital for treatment. Police have not shared the victim’s identity at this point.

Police say the suspect was in all black with a handgun.
