A fire broke out early Tuesday at a home in Sanford.

The fire was reported around 5:15 a.m. in the 300 block of Appaloosa Court, east of State Road 417 and south of East Lake Mary Boulevard.

The Sanford Fire Department said one person was taken to a hospital with a non-life-threatening injury.

Firefighters extinguished the blaze, and the fire department is conducting an assessment of the damage.

Video from the scene shows a charred vehicle in the driveway, with damage to the garage and second story of the home.

No other details, including the cause of the fire, have been released.
