One person is dead following a crash in Volusia County early Thursday, according to the Florida Highway Patrol.
Troopers said the crash, involving a 2009 Toyota Corolla, happened shortly after 5 a.m., on Edgewater Canal Road and Massey Road in New Smyrna Beach.
The car’s occupant was pronounced dead at the scene, authorities said.
The intersection is currently blocked as troopers investigate.
