One person was assessed by first responders outside their home after a fire erupted inside the residence in northeast Miami-Dade, Miami-Dade Fire Rescue officials confirmed.
According to MDFR, the fire was reported at 4:21 p.m. Wednesday near the 2100 block of Northeast 205th Street.
MDFR said firefighters arrived at the scene and found heavy smoke and flames coming from the rear of the home.
“Crews deployed hose lines to attack the fire and extended ladders to conduct roof operations, which included the use of a cellar nozzle,” MDFR said in an email to Local 10 News Thursday. “Although firefighting operations were challenging due to the heavy amount of contents inside the home, crews were able to extinguish the fire.”
While one person was assessed at the scene, no one was hospitalized.
MDFR confirmed the cause of the fire remains under investigation.
