One person is dead following a single-car crash on US Highway 441 early Sunday morning, according to a social media post by the Ocala Police Department.
Officers responded to a crash on the 1700 block of Highway 441 just after 2:30 AM.
According to police, the driver was reportedly speeding and driving recklessly when their car veered off the road, went airborne, and struck a palm tree and a concrete wall.
The driver was ejected from the vehicle and died on the scene.
