1 person killed in 3-car crash in North Miami Beach: Police

Authorities are investigating a deadly crash that involved three cars in a North Miami Beach neighborhood early Friday.

The crash happened in the area of Northeast 16th Avenue and Northeast 152nd Street.

Video from the scene showed a vehicle virtually destroyed. Nearby, a tarp was covering the body of the victim, who died at the scene, according to North Miami Beach Police. Their name has not been released.

NBC6 is working to learn what caused the crash and if anyone else was hurt.

According to Florida Power & Light, there were 122 customers currently without power in the area, but it was not immediately clear if that could be related to the crash.

This is a developing story.
