14-year-old killed, 15-year-old critically injured in Tampa crash

The Tampa Police Department said three teenagers were involved in a crash Sunday night that ended with one dead and one in critical condition.

The crash happened at the intersection of E 93rd Avenue and N 20th Street at around 10:15 p.m. on Nov. 16, TPD said.

It involved two boys, ages 14 and 15, who were in a four-wheeler, and a 17-year-old boy who was driving a pickup truck.

Police said the four-wheeler failed to stop at a stop sign and collided with the truck. The 14-year-old was pronounced dead at the scene, and the 15-year-old was taken to a hospital where he remains in critical condition.

TPF said the teen driver of the pickup stayed on the scene and has been cooperating with investigators.

Detectives are asking anyone with video or information related to the crash to contact the TPD non-emergency line at (813) 231-6130 or submit an anonymous tip through Tip411.
