18-year-old accused of fatal stabbing in Plant City

A Florida teen is behind bars after the Hillsborough County Sheriff’s Office said he fatally stabbed a man in Plant City.

On Friday, Aug. 23, deputies responded to reports of a stabbing on Bob Smith Avenue just before 1 a.m.

On scene, investigators found a man with severe “upper-body trauma,” alleging the victim suffered the injuries after he was stabbed during a verbal argument by Roelmer Fabrisio, 18.

The victim was taken to the hospital where they later died due to their injuries.

“Any argument, no matter how intense, should never result in the loss of life. Violence is not and will never be accepted in our county,” said Sheriff Chad Chronister. “We are committed to ensuring the safety and security of every resident, and we will hold those who resort to violence accountable.”

Fabrisio is facing charges of murder in the second degree with a weapon. An investigation is ongoing.
