PORT ST. LUCIE, Fla. (CBS12) — A 19-year-old man who was driving during a single-vehicle crash is facing charges of manslaughter after three people were killed.
Dylan Ray Boully was arrested on Tuesday by the United States Marshals Task Force and the Okeechobee County Sheriff’s Office after he was found to have had a blood alcohol level of .161 and driving at twice the speed limit of 40 miles per hour prior to the crash.
He now faces three counts of DUI manslaughter, DUI with serious bodily injury and reckless driving causing serious bodily injury.
On March 15 at11:35 p.m. the Port St. Lucie Police Department (PSLPD) responded to the crash on SE Veterans Memorial Pkwy, that involved a red 2017 Dodge Ram 1500. The truck was carrying five people when it veered off the roadway and struck a tree.
Three of theoccupants, Draiden Lee Frank, 16, Leah Marie Herman, 20, and Jimmie Dale Brown, 18, were ejected from the vehicle and pronounced dead at the scene of the crash.
Another passenger 17-year-old Lia Marie Tucker was seriously injured and taken to HCA Florida Lawnwood Hospital, while Boully was taken to the hospital with minor injuries, the police department reported at the time.
