2 found dead at Fort Myers Beach home after reported gas leak

Lee County Sheriff’s Office is investigating the cause of two deaths reportedly linked to a gas leak at a home on Fort Myers Beach.

According to the Fort Myers Beach Fire District, around 9:30 p.m. on Saturday, crews were dispatched to a home on Palermo Circle after a reported gas leak/gas odor call.

When they arrived, crews found two people non-responsive and determined that they had died.

LCSO is currently investigating the specific cause of death.
