Marion County Fire Rescue crews say two people were hurt in a dog attack this weekend, with one person being taken to the hospital via helicopter.

Fire rescue crews responded to a home on Southeast 79th Street Road near Ocklawaha around 1:30 p.m. on Sunday after reports of a dog attack.

Crews found two patients, a man and a woman, with bite injuries. One was taken to the hospital by a UF Health ShandsCair helicopter. The second patient also went to the hospital for treatment.
