2 injured in incident at Eglin Air Force Base

Two military personnel were injured in an incident Thursday afternoon at Eglin Air Force Base.

It happened around 2 p.m.

The base says the injured individuals were transported by ambulance to HCA Florida Fort Walton–Destin Hospital for treatment.

Okaloosa County Emergency Medical Services, Eglin AFB Emergency Medical Services, and the Eglin Explosive Ordnance Disposal team responded to the incident.

“Damage is confined to the High Explosive Research and Development Facility,” the base says in a release.
