2 injured, including Orlando police officer, in crash on I-4

Crash happened on westbound I-4 entrance ramp from Sand Lake Road

A two-vehicle crash on Interstate 4 injured an Orlando police officer and another driver on Wednesday afternoon, according to the Florida Highway Patrol.

Troopers said the crash happened around 3:51 p.m. on the westbound Interstate 4 entrance ramp from Sand Lake Road.

According to the FHP, the crash involved an unmarked Orlando Police Department Dodge Durango and a Hyundai, although the details of the crash were not released.

Troopers said the officer and the driver of the Hyundai were both transported to local hospitals. However, their condition was not released.

This crash remains under investigation.
