Two people died after a crash involving three vehicles in Hillsborough County on Christmas night, according to the Florida Highway Patrol.
The crash happened around 6 p.m. Wednesday on U.S. 301 at Ambelside Blvd. in Riverview, FHP said.
According to FHP, an 87-year-old man driving a Hyundai Sonata turned in front of a Kia Optima, which hit the Sonata.
The initial impact sent the Sonata into the path of a GMC Acadia, causing another collision, troopers said.
An 82-year-old woman and a 60-year-old woman sitting in the backseat of the Sonata died at the scene. Three other people suffered minor injuries.
