2 men seriously injured in rollover crash on Palm Beach Boulevard in Alva

Two Southwest Florida men were taken to the hospital with serious injuries after a rollover crash on Palm Beach Boulevard in Alva.

The Florida Highway Patrol responded to the scene around 7:35 a.m.

Troopers said a 28-year-old Alva man was driving north on Cook Lane before making a turn eastbound on SR-80.

At the same time, a 25-year-old Lehigh Acres man was driving east on SR-80, approaching Cook Ln.

According to reports, as the Alva man made the turn on SR-80 the Lehigh Acres man struck the left side of his car causing it to rollover onto its roof.

The Alva man sustained critical injuries and was taken to the hospital by Med-Flight, according to FHP reports.

The Lehigh Acres man also sustained serious injuries and was taken to the hospital.

East and westbound lanes are down to one lane of traffic, according to the Lee County Sheriff’s Office.

The identity of those involved has not been shared at this time. NBC2 has questions out to FHP to find out more information.
