2 men shot within hours of each other in separate domestic disputes, both in stable condition: JSO

The Jacksonville Sheriff’s Office responded to two separate domestic disputes that left two men shot between Friday evening and early Saturday morning.

The first incident happened on Friday at 10 p.m. on the 8500 block of Jasper Avenue. Police said upon arrival, they found an adult male in his 30s suffering from a single gunshot wound.

JSO said the victim was transported to a local hospital with non-life-threatening injuries.

Investigators said the suspect and victim live together and a dispute between them escalated, resulting in the suspect shooting the victim. Detectives say they have accounted for all parties involved and are conducting interviews.

The second incident happened on the 9400 block of Thorn Glen Road at approximately 12:30 a.m.

According to JSO, the suspect fired multiple shots at the man, striking him once in the foot. He was transported to a local hospital and is in stable condition. The injury is considered non-life-threatening.

Officers detained the suspect at the scene.

Detectives are currently canvassing the area for video surveillance and interviewing witnesses as the investigation continues.

The Sheriff’s Office is asking anyone with information about the incidents to call 904-630-0500, email jsocrimetips@jaxsheriff.org , or contact Crime Stoppers anonymously at 1-866-845-TIPS.
