The Sarasota County Sheriff’s Office launched an investigation Monday night following an incident that sent two people to the hospital.
Authorities said one of the people was a victim of a stabbing that happened at the Royal Palms Mobile Home Park in Sarasota.
As of Monday night, the victim remained at the hospital receiving medical treatment.
A person of interest was also taken to the hospital for treatment, but officials did not provide any further details regarding the suspect’s injuries nor how they were sustained.
The Sarasota County Sheriff’s Office Criminal Investigation Section remained on scene Monday night as the investigation continued.
