20-year-old charged with attempted homicide for overnight stabbing in Pensacola

A 20-year-old man is charged with attempted homicide for a stabbing in Pensacola early Thursday morning.

Mark Musser was arrested early Thursday morning on these charges:

  • attempted homicide
  • battery
  • resisting arrest
  • criminal mischief

Pensacola Police were called to a home on K Street just after midnight for a disturbance. They found a victim with four stab wounds.

Musser — who’s described as a transient — fled from police. He was located and Tasered before being arrested.

Police say officers recovered a kitchen knife they believe was used in the attack.

The victim’s injuries are not life-threatening, according to police, despite the fact he suffered a collapsed lung.

Musser is being held in Escambia County Jail without bond.

No further details were released.
