20-year-old man killed in crash with semi: Florida Highway Patrol

A 20-year-old man was killed late Tuesday evening when his car slammed into a semi in Nassau County, according to the Florida Highway Patrol.

Both vehicles were traveling eastbound on SR-200 East of Chester Road in the center lane.

The 20-year-old, who is listed as being from Colorado, was driving a sedan and a 41-year-old man was driving the tractor-trailer.

The sedan, which was spotted earlier by other drivers speeding past them, hit the back of the tractor-trailer.

Both drivers were wearing seat belts. The 20-year-old died at the scene. The semi-driver, who is from Tampa, was not hurt.

Troopers did not release any other information about the crash.
