20-year-old motorcyclist dies in Oldsmar crash: PCSO

A 20-year-old motorcyclist is dead following a crash Sunday morning in Oldsmar, the Pinellas County Sheriff’s Office said.

Around 9:35 a.m., a man on a 2012 Kawasaki Ninja motorcycle was traveling eastbound on Tampa Road, approaching Oak Leaf Boulevard.

A 73-year-old man driving a 2006 Gold Cadillac, was traveling westbound on Tampa Road and entered the left turn lane at the intersection of Oak Leaf Boulevard.

As the driver of the Cadillac went to make a U-turn on Tampa Road, he drove into the path of the man on the motorcycle.

The motorcyclist was taken to a nearby hospital where he later died.

The man in the Cadillac was not injured.
