GAINESVILLE, Fla. (WCJB) – Lake City police officers responded to a deadly single-vehicle crash on SW Symphony Loop Tuesday night.
LCPD identified Kevin Ramirez as the driver. Officers noticed Ramirez smelled like alcohol and was slurring his words.
The traffic crash investigation revealed that Ramirez decided to pass another vehicle in a no-passing zone when he lost control of the vehicle. The vehicle veered off the road and hit several objects including a utility pole.
The passenger of the vehicle did not survive the crash.
