23-year-old Milton man killed; two others critically injured in Munson Highway crash

A 23-year-old Milton man is dead and two other men are critically injured after a crash Wednesday night in Santa Rosa County.

It happened around 9:30 p.m. on Munson Highway south of Indian Ford Road in Milton.

According to Florida Highway Patrol, three Milton men — two aged 23 and another age 20 — were traveling north on Munson Highway in a pickup truck. FHP says it’s still unclear at this time who was driving.

Meanwhile, a 66-year-old Milton woman was making a left turn in her sedan from northbound Munson Highway into the Lake Kristina Campground.

FHP says the pickup truck began to pass the sedan on the left. The pickup truck then collided with the left front of the sedan.

The pickup truck overturned following the collision. All three Milton men inside were ejected.

A 23-year-old Milton man was pronounced dead on scene, while the two others — a 23-year-old Milton man and a 20-year-old Milton man — were both transported to the hospital with critical injuries.

No one in the sedan was injured.

No further details were released.

An investigation is ongoing.
