A 26-year-old Jay man is critically injured after a two-vehicle crash in Santa Rosa County on Saturday.
Troopers say the incident occurred at 9:58 p.m. on the intersection of Chumuckla Highway and Rolling Acres Road when a pickup truck was traveling westbound on Rolling Acres Road and failed to yield the right of way at a stop sign, causing it to collide with another pickup truck traveling northbound on Chumuckla Highway.
The front left of the Jay man’s pickup truck struck the front right of the second pickup truck, driven by a 48-year-old Pace man.
The Jay man was ejected from his truck during the crash and airlifted to a local hospital, according to FHP.
The Pace man sustained minor injuries and was not transported to the hospital.
FHP tells WEAR News: “Our investigation continues to discover if alcohol may have been a factor or not.”
