LEE COUNTY, Fla. —
A fire broke out on Parkwood Drive in Lee County early Wednesday morning.
Crews were dispatched to the fire at the Cypress Woods RV Resort, which is just off of Luckett Road, at around 12:42 a.m.
According to the Tice Fire Department, when crews arrived, they found a manufactured home fully involved in fire. At the time of the fire, three adults and two pets were inside.
The three adults and one pet made it out safely, but the second pet died, TFD said.
The three adults did not sustain major injuries and were transported to Gulf Coast Hospital as a precaution. The home was a complete loss.
The fire started in the area of a golf cart that contained lithium-ion batteries.
This is a developing story and will be updated.
