Gunfire tore through a strip mall in Margate, sending three people to the hospital, police said.
Margate Police Department units responded to the scene of the shooting near South State Road 7 and Second Court, Saturday night.
Officials said that three or four people had a confrontation, leading to shots being fired.
Paramedics transported the injured victims to an area hospital. Their injuries were not life-threatening.
Several businesses put up plywood to cover the damage of shattered glass where bullets struck.
The incident remains under investigation.
