Firefighters responded to a crash with serious injuries near State Road 16 and S. Francis Road Tuesday evening.
Upon arrival, crews found a two-vehicle crash completely blocking the roadway. Firefighters confirmed three patients at the scene, including one person trapped inside a vehicle.
Crews quickly worked to free that person
All three patients were transported to local trauma centers in serious but stable condition. One patient was airlifted by helicopter, according to St. Johns County Fire Rescue.
Authorities are currently investigating the cause of the crash.
