3 teens killed in crash in Pompano Beach: BSO

Three teens died after a crash on a major roadway Monday in Pompano Beach, officials said.

Broward Sheriff’s Office deputies responded at around 7 p.m. to a crash involving two cars in the 1600 block of North Federal Highway.

There, deputies found one of the cars had crashed into a concrete pole and into a bus stop, officials said.

The victims – aged 15, 16, and 18 – were transported to the hospital, where they later died, BSO said.

The driver of the second vehicle did not sustain any injuries, officials said. There were no reports of additional injuries.

Officials did not provide details on what led up to the crash.

The roadway is shut down as the investigation continues.
