3-vehicle crash in Marion County sends a woman to the hospital

A woman is in the hospital after three-vehicle crash in Marion County Monday night.

Marion County Fire Rescue crews responded to a crash involving semi-truck, an SUV, and a Jeep on South US Highway 441 just after 8 p.m.

The driver of SUV was trapped in the vehicle. Crews were able to extract the female driver from the vehicle.

She was trauma alerted to a local trauma hospital. The semi-truck driver and the Jeep driver were able get out of their vehicles without assistance.

The crash caused a small diesel fuel leak, but HAZMAT technicians were able to clean it up.

The Belleview Police Department is investigating the cause of the crash.
