A crash involving three vehicles on US-301 in Riverview left two dead on Wednesday night, the Florida Highway Patrol announced.
The crash happened on US-301 and Ambleside Boulevard in Riverview On Christmas evening around 6 p.m.
According to FHP, a Hyundai Sonata was traveling on Ambleside Boulevard heading westbound when it went into the intersection of US-301 where it collided with a Kia Optima traveling northbound on US-301.
After colliding with the Kia, the Hyundai rotated and collided with a GMA Acadia traveling southbound on US-301.
According to FHP, two passengers of the Hyundai, an 82-year-old woman from Palm Harbor and a 60-year-old woman from Palm Harbor were pronounced deceased at the scene.
The driver of the Hyundai and another passenger, an 87-year-old man from Palm Harbor and a 23-year-old man from Palm Harbor suffered minor injuries.
The driver of the Kia, a 22-year-old from Sun City Center suffered minor injuries from the crash, according to FHP.
The driver of the GMC, a 53-year-old man from Gibsonton, and passengers a 26-year-old man from Gibsonton, and a 28-year-old man from Apollo Beach, did not suffer any injuries from the crash.
