34-year-old woman dies, 3 others injured after two-vehicle crash in Fort McCoy

A 34-year-old woman is dead and three others are injured after a two-vehicle crash Thursday evening.

Florida Highway Patrol troopers say a 29-year-old man from Citra was driving his pickup truck southbound on Northeast 160th Avenue Road just before 7 p.m. A 36-year-old man from Fort McCoy was driving his pickup truck northbound on Northeast 160th Avenue Road when the 29-year-old man crossed the double yellow line.

Both pickup trucks tried to swerve out of the way but turned the same way and hit each other.

Both drivers and passengers from both pickup trucks were taken to the hospital.

A 36-year-old woman died at the hospital and both drivers suffered serious injuries. A child under the age of one suffered minor injuries.
