The Florida Highway Patrol responded to a multi-vehicle traffic collision in the area of State Road 390 West of Airport Drive on Friday night.
According to a news release, after arriving on scene, they observed a silver SUV driven by a 47-year-old Panama City Beach resident and a grey van driven by an 18-year-old that was blocking all westbound traffic lanes on State Road 390.
Witness on scene stated the silver SUV was traveling east on State Road 390 in the inside lane when the vehicle abruptly crossed over the left turn lane and the center median before entering the oncoming traffic lane.
Troopers said the grey van was traveling west on State Road 390, into the inside travel lane, when the front of the silver van collided with the right front of the grey van.
The four occupants inside the silver SUV, including two children, were transported to Bay Medical Sacred Heart for their injuries.
Troopers confirmed the two adults sustained serious injuries, and the 5-year-old and the 9-year-old are currently in critical condition.
