An Escambia County crash left four people injured, according to Florida Highway Patrol
Troopers with the FHP responded to the crash that happened around 3:05 p.m. on Monday.
There were two vehicles involved in the crash, according to officials: a pickup truck driven by a 52-year-old Cantonment man and an SUV driven by a 67-year-old Illinois woman.
According to reports, the crash happened when the pickup that was traveling westbound on County Road 196 and stopped for the stop sign at State Road 95 went to cross the road and entered the path of the SUV that was traveling southbound in the outside travel lane of State Road 95.
The front left portion of the SUV collided with the right front of the pickup, causing both vehicles to slide in a southwesterly direction and come to a final rest on the southwest corner of State Road 95, officials said.
The driver of the pickup, the driver of the SUV, and two passengers of the SUV (a 66-year-old man and a 38-year-old man from Illinois) sustained minor injuries in the crash.
